Real hope for survivors of sex trafficking and sexual exploitation is founded on God’s promise to rescue the prisoner, bind up her wounds, and release her from all that has her bound. Hope expects God to bring beauty from her ashes, and joy out of her pain. By raising awareness in the community, and providing shelter for those who were once enslaved, Healing Root Ministry shines the light of Christ in the darkness and offers a beacon of hope.

No one person can meet all the needs of a survivor. It takes a team of caring and dedicated individuals to rally around each woman to determine her needs, set goals, teach life skills, and prepare her to reintegrate into society. Dedicated residents are made well enough and strong enough to resist their former life of slavery, addiction, and exploitation as a means of survival, and ultimately look to Jesus for help, healing, and hope for the future.

Ladies at The Gate, our home for adult survivors age 18 and over, are offered a unique form of therapeutic prayer to find healing for their deepest wounds. We believe when a woman’s wounds are healed at the root, she can be free to live the life God chose for her. The goal in all our efforts is to lead women to the feet of Jesus where all true healing is found, and to surround them with women who reflect His love to them.
